Most standby power projects are split across an enclosure manufacturer, a fuel specialist, a controls contractor and an installer. Drac is all of them – six in-house capabilities under one point of accountability. Fewer interfaces, fewer gaps between scopes, and a straight answer when the programme moves.

Weatherproof, acoustically treated genset enclosures designed and built in Victoria for continuous mission critical duty.

Bulk storage, service tanks, polishing and transfer systems – engineered as part of the package and installed by our integrated team

Design and implementation of tailored control, fuel, load management and synchronisation systems.

National installation and commissioning by our in-house team – connected and proven on site.

Ongoing maintenance, remote monitoring and a dedicated service team keeping your standby power ready for the day it is actually needed.

By bringing mechanical, acoustic and electrical design together under one roof, every package is engineered as a single, coordinated system.
Choosing a power infrastructure partner is a schedule decision as much as a technical one. Drac is the Australian manufacturer that owns every step — so the enclosure, the fuel system, the controls and the crew that installs them all answer to one company, on one project fewer interfaces, fewer surprises, and a straight answer on what we can deliver and when.

Your enclosures are engineered and built here in Victoria — not shipped from an offshore queue. That takes the freight and lead-time risk out of a project that can’t afford to slip.

We invest ahead of demand, with a fourth Victorian facility opening in 2027. Reserve build slots early and we’ll commit to them — and tell you honestly what we can deliver and when.

Engineering, fabrication, fuel systems, controls, installation and support sit under one roof and one ISO 9001:2015 quality system. When something changes on a live project, there’s no supply chain to renegotiate first.

Our processes are assessed under Technical Due Diligence by global hyperscale operators, and every unit is factory tested before it leaves the floor — so it arrives as a finished system, not a box waiting for trades.
Drac’s story began in 2011, when founder Chris Dracoulas identified a gap in the market for high-quality installation services of balance of plant systems for standby power generation.
Starting as a one-man operation working from a rented shipping container, Drac has grown into Australia’s first and only-fully in-house provider of comprehensive power generation solutions.
A selection of the work behind the capability.
A live data centre needed its standby fleet replaced with zero downtime. We staged the swap set by set, holding full protection on the floor the entire time.
A hyperscale campus needed extra standby capacity on a tight programme. We built, delivered and commissioned the enclosures and fuel system ahead of handover.
A colocation operator wanted one partner across enclosures, fuel and controls. We engineered and installed the complete package, then stayed on to service it.
"We don't just supply equipment; we take responsibility for keeping the country's most important sites running. Everything we build in Australia is engineered for the worst day, not the average one, because that's the day our customers remember."
Board of Directors - Kevin Pallas, Eddy Kontelj, Chris Dracoulas, Graham Fountain
Engineering, fabrication, acoustic treatment, electrical, assembly and factory test all happen in-house, so there is no supply chain to renegotiate when the project moves.
Mechanical, acoustic and electrical design in-house, from tender to IFC.
Steel cut, formed and welded in our own workshops.
Enclosure, engine, fuel and control systems are integrated and wired up on one line in our Victorian facility.
Tested and inspected before it leaves the floor, not after it arrives.
We deliver to site and manage positioning, connection and installation — nationwide and on your programme.
Commissioning, scheduled servicing and rapid fault response keep your standby power ready to run.
Data centres, hospitals, infrastructure, heavy industry — wherever losing power isn’t an option, Drac keeps things running. We design, build and maintain the enclosures, fuel systems and control gear behind reliable standby power, engineered in Australia, proven on site, and backed by one team from the first drawing to lifetime servicing.

Straight answers to the questions procurement and engineering leads ask us most.
We manufacture in-house. Engineering, steel fabrication, acoustic treatment, electrical fit-out and factory testing all happen in our own Victorian facilities under one ISO 9001:2015 quality system.
We invest ahead of demand — a fourth Pakenham facility opens in 2027, lifting output toward 400+ enclosures per annum. Talk to us early and we'll tell you honestly what we can commit to your project and when.
No. Drac is brand agnostic. We assess each project's requirements independently and recommend the solution that best suits the application or our customer's preference
Yes. Our own crews install and commission across Australia, backed by remote monitoring and a dedicated service team.
We operate under an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, and our processes have been assessed under Technical Due Diligence by global hyperscale operators. Detail is available on request.
Yes — that's the point of difference. One company is accountable across the enclosure, diesel fuel system, control system, installation and support, so there are fewer interfaces and fewer gaps between scopes.
